Molly Hicks is a board-certified music therapist and bereavement counselor who works for a hospice agency, where she serves bereaved adults through individual counseling and support groups.

Molly holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She earned her Hospice & Palliative Care Music Therapy (HPMT) certificate in 2011, and her Fellow in Thanatology (FT) in 2021. Since 2012, Molly has been a member of a National Steering Committee focused on advocating for music therapy and other integrative therapies.

Molly enjoys writing songs that reflect the multidimensional experiences of grief and explore resources for coping with loss. She uses these songs in her sessions with clients, engaging them in writing new lyrics to personalize the experience.
