Claire Bidwell Smith is a therapist specializing in grief and the author of three best-selling books.


Claire came face-to-face with grief at a young age. When she was only 14, she saw both her parents diagnosed with cancer. Claire’s mother, Sally, died when she was only 18. Her father, Gerald, died when she was 25.


Led by her own experiences with grief and fueled by her work in hospice and private practice, Claire strives to provide support for all kinds of people experiencing all kinds of grief. Claire offers numerous online programs for grief in addition to working with people one-on-one. 

 

Her three nonfiction books – The Rules of Inheritance, After This: When Life Is Over Where Do We Go? and Anxiety: The Missing Stage of Grief ­– have been published in 20 countries.
